OXO Beachhouse

OXO Beachhouse takes the space of a previously existing restaurant, the most important need of the client was to open up the space to create a central bar that would serve as the main gathering point of the space. Our solution was to create an "all-around" bar that gives service to the dining area, but also creates a reception bar that allows for a waiting bar where people can order drinks and mingle before being sat at their table.  Robert Mendoza Robert Mendoza Robert Mendoza Robert Mendoza Robert Mendoza In order to make the bar be the centerpiece of the restaurant, we created a mirrored upside-down pyramid that acts as a "marquee" that pulls your eye into the center of the space. Modern Restaurant in a Converted Stable in Vienna

This project transforms a former rural stable in Vienna into a contemporary restaurant while preserving the spatial identity of the original structure. Rather than erasing its past, the design builds on the existing volume, using it as a framework for a new program and social experience. SNOB Architects SNOB Architects The intervention is defined by a careful balance between preservation and addition. The double-height hall remains the core of the project, maintaining the scale and character of the agricultural building. New insertions — including a mezzanine level and a sculptural staircase — introduce a clear spatial hierarchy while remaining visually lightweight and reversible. SNOB Architects Material strate... Johnson's Corner

Once a humble roadside beacon for weary travelers along Colorado’s expanding highway system, Johnson’s Station was more than just a place to fill up. It was a gathering space, a community landmark, and a symbol of hospitality on the open road. Over the decades, however, time took its toll. The once vibrant neon-lit facade faded, the pumps ran dry, and the structure fell into a state of disrepair, until now. Johnson’s Hospitality LLC Through a thoughtful and deeply respectful renovation, Johnson’s Station has been reborn. Situated in the heart of Prospect New Town, Longmont’s visionary walkable neighborhood, the newly restored Johnson’s Station honors its past while energizing the future of communal... More

Blue Rock Swim Club

The project brief called for the transformation of a dormant brewing space beneath a restaurant into a distinct, immersive bar inspired by the evocative mythology of the Blue Rock Swim Club. More than a spatial renovation, the challenge lay in crafting a compelling historical narrative within a context—and a city—largely defined by new-build construction and a lack of historical preservation. The client envisioned a venue that felt like the remains of an abandoned underground bathhouse—an atmospheric relic layered with texture, memory, and mystery. The design team grounded this vision by interpreting the spatial logic of a traditional bathhouse: the entry sequence begins in the “locker room,” now reimagined as... More

CELEST

Celest restaurant & cocktail bar The design of Celest in De Zalmhaven in Rotterdam by Strijkers Studio and commissioned by Magnicity allows Celest’s guests to transcend the ordinary world, to a special place far above the earth. Mathijs Labadie When Strijkers Studio began formulating the design concepts for Celest, they turned to Edgar Allan Poe’s The Unparalleled Adventure of One Hans Pfaall as a central reference point. The book’s narrative of a journey to the moon provided the inspiration for a design that emphasises both ascent and transfor... More

The project was a collaboration of architects, designers, landscapers, illuminators, artists, artisans, cooks, ceramists, and photographers, all of Mexican origin.
