Siddi city gate
In the heart of Marmilla, where the gentle Sardinian hills open up to views of golden fields and ancient olive groves stretching to the Giara di Gesturi, the municipality of Siddi (South Sardinia) gains a new urban threshold. The redevelopment of Via Napoli, the main access road to the village, transcends mere infrastructural function to become an act of refined architectural and cultural sensibility.

From the sidewalk to the parking area/town entrance, the project invites a walk with a view of the landscape beauties of Marmilla, transforming a peripheral route into a true story of welcome. Las Pajareras lodge expansion features basalt walls and pine vaults constructed in the forests of Ecuador
Architects Ignacio Muñoz Bustamante and Javier Mera Luna have completed the Las Pajareras project, a 130-square-meter expansion for Guango Lodge in Napo, Ecuador. The project is meant to increase the inn's capacity to accommodate bird tourism, photography, and conservation enthusiasts. Located at 2700 meters above sea level in a forest spanning some 300 hectares, the property has been maintained by the same family for over fifty years.

The forest informs Faulkner Architects’ latest project tucked away in between the Californian trees
Close to the north shore of Lake Tahoe, Faulkner Architects completed a 4,500-square-foot four-bedroom house nestled in between pine and red fire trees. The architects shaped the building like a simple rectangular volume in order to minimize impact on the site.

An ebonized steel rainscreen protects the vulnerable wood-framed part of the house from wildfire, referring in function and texture to the bark of adjacent trees.

The materialization and fenestration reflect the behaviour of the forest that surrounds the building. Throughout the house the architects used cut basalt stone floors, unfinished reclaimed teak ceilings and floors, board-formed concrete, and white gypsum.

Naui Table
The NAUI centre table is a sculptural piece of furniture made out of lava stone or recinto. This work translates Pedro Cerisola’s continuous design experimentation and investigation of modular structures. The materiality of both lava stone and glass present in this piece embody the seemingly opposing spirits of robustness and delicacy. Each module is carved manually from a monolithic piece of lava stone. NAUI is the product of a challenge conforming an innovative circular structure with a single modular shape manifesting the dynamic understanding of geometry throughout Pedro Cerisola’s work. More

Bluestone
Our Bluestone pavers are all volcanic stones that have formed and hardened over millions of years. Bluestone pavers are extremely dense and hardwearing, enabling this natural stone to be used in the most rigorous applications.
Our natural bluestone pavers are available in a huge variety of sizes, formats and surface textures, offering a high level of paver customisation including an extensive range of pool coping bullnose, square edge and rebated units.
Think an organic bluestone stepper for the pathway to allow planting between the stones, a sawn surface paver externally to ensure a non-slip finish, and then carry through the same size internally in a honed finish bluestone tile, ending in a soft feel underfoot. Bluestone... More
