The Sanctuary

Selected as Home #1 on the Artisan Home Tour 2026, The Sanctuary’s architecture is focused on creating a private backyard oasis centered around a reflecting pool. The living room's high ceilings, clerestory windows and wood ceilings create a bright, warm and spacious atmosphere. Because the homeowners love having guests, we designed an open flow between gathering spaces and outdoor areas. We carefully oriented views from the entry and main living spaces to draw attention to the oasis. Spacecrafting Photography Spacecrafting Photography Spacecrafting Photography Spacecrafting Photography Spacecrafting Photography While most of the home is on the main level, we did design bedrooms located above the garage... Unilever AIR

The move was just a fifteen-minute walk, from the place that Unilever called its home for thirty years. In every other sense, it was a leap. From several office floors to a single one. From a dedicated headquarters to a multi-tenant building. More than just a relocation. It was an opportunity to rethink everything. Eva Bloem Eva Bloem Unilever chose the former V&D department store, recently transformed through a successful renovation. Once a showcase for products, the building now houses an organisation that creates them. The office, wrapped around a central atrium, features a striking platform that offers a panoramic view across the entire floor. It is a space that connects, an essential quality in a time where people want t... More

HvdM

After a successful collaboration in 2018, HvdM once again partnered with AREA to create their new office in The Hague. The move was prompted by redevelopment plans at their previous location and offered the opportunity to rethink their workspace from the ground up. Kim van Splunter Kim van Splunter Kim van Splunter The concept is built around the growth rings of a tree, a natural fingerprint symbolizing identity, continuity and development. These subtle, organic forms are expressed in custom PET-felt wall panels, natural finishes, and soft lines that shape the interior.
