THE STARRY CENTER
The project is a single-floor 340㎡apartment located near the vigorous south bank of Qianjiang River in Hangzhou, China. The dwelling space interprets a quality lifestyle while also unveiling a dialogue between young urban elites and contemporary aesthetics.
The overall design fulfills contemporary young urbanites' ideal of a luxury home. The open circulation in the public area liberates the layout of the living & dining area and bedrooms. The smooth and steady spatial pattern, large French windows and transparent corridors create a simple and orderly interior space, which ensures natural ventilation and ample daylight.

TWA Hotel at JFK International Airport
Eero Saarinen’s iconic 1962 TWA Flight Center at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York City is among the most significant examples of mid-century modern architecture in the world. The landmark was shuttered for nearly 20 years after the airlines went out of business in 2001, but was later protected in 2005 when it was placed on the National Register of Historic Places. Eventually, the terminal was saved when MCR and MORSE Development won the bid to turn the historic landmark into a hotel for the 21st century, which eventually opened in May 2019.

This slab of Oregon Black Walnut was salvaged from a local homeowner, who had a dying old-growth black walnut tree that needed to come down before it fell on the house. We milled the tree, dried out the slabs, and turned what could have easily become firewood (or worse) into a beautiful table.
We have over half a million board feet of salvaged wood slabs and lumber, sustainably harvested from all over the Pacific Northwest. More
