House in Narrawallee

House in Narrawallee is a post-and-beam platform home perched on stilts, which sits lightly on the sloping land beneath. The brief was to imaginatively reinvent the beachcomber style home to accommodate extended family trips down the coast from Sydney, but without losing the home or surrounding area’s charm. Cameron Deynzer Cameron Deynzer Cameron Deynzer Colour was a journey throughout the process, the clients wanted to make sure their holiday home was a playful escape. This led to a material and colour study that created a series of rooms soaked in colourful paints, tiles, and stones. Cameron Deynzer Kassia St Clair’s The Secret Lives of Colour was a starting point for our investigation into a playful, ye... More

Seriphos Estate

Two steps away from Agios Ioannis beach in Serifos is the two-part residence Seriphos Estate; comprising Kelyphos (upper apartment) and Edaphos (lower apartment), it is a product of modernization, (re)formation, and overall inspiration from Cycladic aesthetics. Yiorgos Kordakis Yiorgos Kordakis The design incorporates, in various ways and intensities, the characteristic Greek horizon between sky and sea, the element of dry and rugged land, and mainly the bright summer light. It's no coincidence that the common denominator of all the names (Kelyphos, Edaphos, Seriphos) is the suffix ‘-phos,’ which phonetically alludes to the word “light” in Greek.  Yiorgos Kordakis Yiorgos Kordakis Yiorgos... Apres-SKi Chalet

Transforming unusable space into illuminating features created a luxury and relaxing après-ski experience. Tess Kelly Tess Kelly When the roof on Mike and Keryn’s ski villa was upgraded, it created a new second-floor attic with a triangular window that filled the space with northern light. The couple engaged us to design the attic and access stair – but we spotted a shining opportunity to dramatically improve their whole villa and après-ski experience. Attached on three sides and facing southwest, the 35-sqm villa was compact, dark and always artificially lit. We turned unusable space into illuminating features to create a warm and luxurious, relaxing home where our clients could relax after a day on the... More

Cas Padrins

In the quiet landscape of Consell, Cas Padrins stands as a testament to Mallorca’s rural heritage. This family possessió, a traditional country estate, was originally built in 1878 and has remained in the same family ever since. Carefully renewed with respect for its agricultural past, the house now welcomes guests to experience the serenity and authenticity of the Mediterranean lifestyle. The architecture reveals a dialogue between memory and modern comfort. Stone walls, limewashed surfaces, and wooden beams preserve the island’s spirit, while new interventions bring clarity, light, and a discreet sense of luxury. The restoration sought not to transform but to continue, recovering original textures, restoring the rhythm... More

Houses A•2

On the Cycladic island of Paros, within an area under natural protection, the conversion of two degraded 8-room rental studio complexes into two quality holiday residences required careful renegotiations on several scales and architectural dials. The scheme, with regards to massing and articulation, combines proportions and composition of cubic volumes, repetition and standardization of openings, generous outdoor shaded spaces and the use of environmentally friendly materials in order to redefine the complexes’ expression, achieve a plasticity of form but also an architectural unity that respects Cycladic architecture, adopts to the landscape and responds to the demands for contemporary holiday living. Each building is rearticulated as an as...
