Wispe Brewery

The Sint Laurentius Church in Weesp, on the outskirts of Amsterdam, is a neo-Gothic cross church designed by Theo Asseler and built in 1876. As part of an intensive renovation in which the foundation was also restored, we were asked to design a brewery and a pub for Wispe brewerys.  Because of the existing characteristic qualities, we tried to keep our interventions as modest as possible. Our design choices were limited to the essential and we attempted to let them not compete with the existing.  With a certain degree of reticence in the use of materials and color an interior is realized that strengthens the existing spatial qualities of the church and brings the light back deep into the central nave.  Des... Bierhalle Royal Wilanów

Bierhalle Wilanów is a prestigious location (Royal Wilanów complex), which means higher standards. It has been the first premises realized from scratch according to the new image guidelines for the brand as worked out the previous year by our studio (when doing the audit and lifting in CH Arkadia Bierhalle restaurant). The point of departure for the interior design in Wilanów were the characteristic colours used by Bierhalle since it has functioned, that is deep red and black, which has been recently introduced to complement the red colour. A great challenge connected with this very location was a huge number of glass window displays – the restaurant being surrounded with them from three sides. We managed to tur... More

Amelia Island Brewery

Located on the busy A1A route into Amelia Island, Florida, The Amelia Island Brewing Company is an exciting commercial project for Tomecek Studio. The site, thickly vegetated with trees, shrubs, and grasses, is a natural hideaway in an industrial neighborhood. The project layout creates a physical and visual barrier around the site and directs the views and experiences inward towards the enclosed courtyard and preserved vegetation. One enters the brewery via the deck spanning over the large water feature recalling the memories of walking on a boardwalk over marshy Florida waters. To understand what the brewery wants to be, we looked at the brewing process and distilled the concept to the idea of a container and liquid stored within. The pr... More

Jan Olbracht Browar Staromiejski

Jan Olbracht is a unique place on the map of Toruń gastronomy. This restaurant with a brewery is situated in the heart of the Old Town, inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List, on four storeys of a Gothic tenement house from the 14th Century.  The restaurant has functioned here for a dozen years or so. Having worked in the same form for years, it needed some changes and refurbishment. Our task was to redecorate the main Room on the ground floor, together with the bar and the brewhouse, the Royal Room on the first floor, as well as the conference and event space. It was crucial to preserve and highlight the original interior elements such as: the polychrome and the Gothic brick. On the ground floor, we preserved the loges in the w... More

Výčep

(un)traditional Czech pub   The Výčep restaurant is situated in a tenement house in Prague's Vinohrady. Our aim was to design a traditional Czech pub with a traditional Czech beer and cuisine, but interpreted in the 21st century. We attempted to define typical features of a Czech pub at the beginning of the 20th century and apply them in a contemporary interior. Its setting stone is the "BEER BAR", which welcomes the visitor straight upon entering. There must be a place at the bar for drinking beer while standing and of course a true larger on tap. Here it is the Dalešice beer from the recently renovated historic brewery. Wooden wall panelling used to be a common interior feature, protecting walls from being damaged, as... More

Southerleigh

The Southerleigh Brewhouse celebrates the architecture and soul of the 1890s vintage building. Together with Joel Mozersky Design, we worked together to bring the gritty magnificence of the Brewhouse back to life, as if it had never shut down. Clayton Korte retained vestiges of the deep history at Pearl through the re-purposing of historic equipment into decorative and functional pieces. These icons of the past have been scattered throughout the 5,000 square foot restaurant and 2,600 square foot Brewery. Fifteen foot original stainless steel kettle tops were re-purposed to provide a focal point to one of the three dining rooms. Honoring the past, the copper clad mash tun and boil kettle sit in the same location and are a focal point as pat... More

EDIT – A taste for sharing

An acronym for “Eat Drink Innovate Together”, EDIT is an original concept lamatilde has brought to the food and beverage field, in collaboration with business accelerator The Doers. It is a unique example, on international level, of contamination between American culinary incubators, Italian cuisine’s love for innovation and craft breweries’ experimental potential.Within its 2,400 square meters (almost 26,000 square feet), EDIT includes a bakery, a pub, a brewery, a cocktail bar, a restaurant and a kitchen area: a mix that contributes to a dynamic and flexible space, able to cater to both professionals – who can rent the equipment they need – and end clients, with a complete “menu” of options... It is in direct pedestrian relation to the railway station Praha – Horní Měcholupy. The Hostivar Brewery H2 is the younger brother of Hostivar Brewery 1 that lays about 1 km away. The shape of the floor plan is influenced by the uneven shape of the parcel. The SPOJOVNA Brewery

The SPOJOVNA brewery is located on the border of three Prague districts - Chodov, Kunratice and Šeberov. This area is unique for its composition of residents.  It is a blend of different worlds (which are also a beer names): študák, being represented by a student hostel, kravaťák – a business one in the nearby office park, and fešák - the common life of the housing estate inhabitants. These worlds intersect in the new brewery. The lunches belong to white collars and the evenings to students and locals.Hence the name of the brewery - SPOJOVNA (THE LINK INN).The grounds consist of the brewery house with its background and a restaurant, a large garden with an outside bar for various sports and cultural activities.&nbs...
