Gustavo grew up in a humble house made more of effort than of materials. The son of farmers and craft merchants—people with rough hands and generous eyes—who, though their studies were prematurely interrupted, managed to instill in him a desire to understand the world. Lakhani Villa
The Lakhani Villa, in Ahmedabad, embodies the concept of ‘Tranquil Modernism’, blending timeless contemporary design principles with serene, nature-integrated living spaces. With an aesthetic featuring a clean geometry and uncluttered spaces, it provides a sanctuary from the urban chaos. The beige and white sandstone and exposed architectural concrete, complements the minimalist design. Expansive shaded glazing, spacious balconies, and landscaped courtyards and lawns integrate the indoor and outdoor spaces, fostering a profound sense of harmony with nature.

“French Kitsch” cafe design embraces French cathedrals, croissants, and pink French Bulldogs
Bangkok-based design studio TOUCH Architect has created a curious concrete cafe in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand, with an architectural style influenced by French cathedrals and croissants. “French Kitsch” is a 360-square-meter (3,875-square-feet) French cafe and patisserie with an added sense of kitsch in the form of several pink French Bulldog sculptures, reflecting the owner’s love for the popular French breed. The concept of kitsch is also represented in architectural elements and materials that allude to the shape of a croissant.

The House
The House, a 285-square meter coffee studio in Sharjah designed by Inter-disciplinary design firm C’est Ici is “an antidote to our fast-paced, on-the-go culture.”A dream project of Emirati barista, Mansoor Al Omani, The House is the only café of its kind in the Emirate dedicated to the art ofcoffee making.
The House is a surprising cohesion of contrasting styles where brutalist mixes freely with organic elements and the classic with rustic. A full-service turnkey project from design to execution, the Cèst Ici signature style is evident in every detail of the project.

The concept hotel "Mutis" located in Indonesia. This project represents our search for combinations of different stylistic directions. We experimented a lot with geometric shapes, materials and furniture.

Project concept creation took about 2 months.One of the ideas of this project was to give people the opportunity to feel like a part of nature through location, natural materials, colors, art objects and interaction of plants with interior and architecture.We used artistic plaster in the interior, polished concrete on the floor, custom metal and wood panels on the walls.

Renovation of a Brutalist House
Led by architect Lutero Leme, from the Arquitécnika studio, in Brasília, the project aimed for the revitalization of a Brutalist residence, built in the federal capital in the 70s, originally designed by architect João Filgueiras (also known as Lelé). With 1,968m² of built up area on a 12,000 m² lot area, the intention was to keep the original exposed concrete and its volume, creating current technological solutions. To this end, the style and trait were maintained, but everything else was reconsidered. A challenge, due to the structure of the house.
