Tskneti Dwelling

Located in Tskneti, near Tbilisi, the residence is implemented in an admirable natural site. One of the most concerns with the project was to scale the house and yard respecting the surrounding landscape. Set into sloping terrain, the house is arranged over a double level, with the front yard deepening as it steps down the hill. Caption Architectural SolutionThe facade is balanced with a classic finish of wood combined with local textured limestone, that gives the house its modernistic, contextual feel. Casa Myhrer Hauge

This house is not merely about esthetics, it is about bringing natural settings and Architecture into dialog. Finding the Stream and opening up, landscaping it, and giving it back to nature as a visual end influential element. Then creating the dialog with the house itself. This becomes an intellectual challenge where the house concept is created by the natural settings (difficult to see in heavy snowy pictures). The opened-up-Stream, together with strict boundaries for where to be allowed to built created a great challenges in defining the concept and giving the house it´s form, which interacts so perfectly with the natural settings, making it a great experience entering the house on bridge above the sound and experience of trickling water... Søbakken skole

The school is rehabilitated and expanded with wing G, which is a new building on 2 floors that accommodates 8 classrooms in addition to SFO. This together with previously rehabilitated pavilion D with 6 classrooms constitutes a two-parallel school. New wing F holds canteen which is also used as a meeting room, as well as kitchen and meeting rooms. The school facility is linked to dry and warm corridors where the children can travel easily between the various pavilions, including rehabilitated administration wing A and existing wing D. More
