Health center in Zeewolde
Bringing healthcare closer
Located on Horsterweg in Zeewolde, the new ‘Medical Center Waterland’ stands as a testament to the motto ‘St Jansdal brings healthcare closer.’ Since 2021, residents of Zeewolde can access the new Medical Center Waterland, bringing together services such as general practitioners, physiotherapy, mental healthcare (GGZ), and a pharmacy.

The Heart Of Malta Project By The Svetozar Andreev
It-Tieqa Żerqa, more popularly known as the Azure Window, was an icon of the Maltese islands. Following a storm in March of 2017, the arch collapsed into the sea, and there was no way to restore it. However, we have a plan to give this symbol a new life:
The Heart Of Malta is a polygonal architectural form with mirrored steel faces, which will blend into the landscape, and have the same size and proportions as the original limestone arch. Within this form we have designed over 5,000 square meters of exhibition space laid out over five spiral floors, with a dynamic laser show in which each spiral step represents one thousand years of Maltese history.

Rowing High Performance Centre in Pocinho
The guiding principles and strategies of the project for the Pocinho Center for High Performance Rowing play their part in a dense and inextricable mixture that includes the peculiarities and identity of a pre-existing, specific “place”; the characteristics and demands of a very recent program; and the needs and wants of the architectural act.
The first ones, about the specificity of the site, taken in a broad sense, as a "cultural being", it concerns mainly the Douro River Valley as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the correspondent ancestral expression of men´s intervention and transformation of the landscape.

MFA De Haveling
The Municipality of Wijngaarden has organised a selection procedure for the design of a new multi-functional community centre that it plans to build in the village. van Es architecten was the selected firm.
The new multi-functional complex will house the community centre ‘De Haveling’, IJsvereniging ‘Nooit Gedacht’, the billiard club ‘De Lukkie Klos’ and the rifle club ‘De Vrijheid’.
The layout of the plot is based on a traditional farmyard, linking the new complex to the surrounding rural area. The building is characterised by a friendly architectural style, in which the focus has been to create a contemporary atmosphere that nevertheless fits within the building’s traditional environs. More
