Mitbury the Public House

     Located between the Mae Rim-Samoeng Road and the Mae Sa River, the project envisions a small café where customers can enjoy the natural surroundings. The aim is to keep the buildings as compact as necessary, prioritizing outdoor spaces under the shade of existing trees, avoiding any encroachment on the river, and preserving the original large trees. The site’s unique features include a low-lying valley significantly below road level, gently sloping down to the riverbank. Mr.New's Cabin

The first conversation when starting to build this house was “How to make a building seamlessly connect with the surrounding context that is much bigger than itself?” The location of this house is amidst nature in Mae Rim District. and travels only 20 kilometers from Chiang Mai city. There are both lakes and hills surrounding this location. Jeng Pheera Jeng Pheera Jeng Pheera Jeng Pheera Jeng Pheera The orientation of the building is designed so that half of the daily activities are connected to the shore overlooking the lake, both in terms of practical use. Kaomai Museum

Kaomai Museum is an adaptive-reused project within Kaomai Estate 1955, the revitalized project of sixty-three-year old tobacco processing plant estate in Chiang Mai, once a glorious local community’s economic center. Recently, this project was awarded by the 2018 UNESCO Asia-Pacific Awards for Cultural Heritage Conservation in New Design in Heritage Contexts category.PAVA architects designed the museum by considering “the site as a museum”, in which contains the valuable historical and natural heritage. Therefore, Kaomai Estate 1955 is narrated by the “histo-eco museum” routes. The museum barns serve as an introduction to the estate.
