We worked with New York‑based Kindbody to re‑envision their IVF and egg‑freezing facilities in the FlatIron district. As a woman‑run business, we knew the importance of placing the woman at the center of her own experience, especially one that could be otherwise uncomfortable or anxiety‑inducing.   Eschewing the cold and sterile environment of a traditional doctor’s, we revitalized the space with curved lines, warm lighting, abstract art and organic shapes, mirroring the female form and providing a softer, supportive environment that functioned as an extension of one’s self.   We created spaces that fostered conversation and socializing, so women don’t ever have to feel alone. Jewellery has been something we treasure for centuries. Whilst our ancestors kept their jewelleries in delicate boxes, our grandparents kept them in tiny silk pockets, and we now keep them in safe deposit boxes in banks. The preciousness of jewelleries is accentuated through the design concept of safe deposit boxes, which is translated into an elegant and innovative shopping space. The shop resembles safety vaults in banks, the walls are dissected into numerous rectangular shapes to represent safe deposit boxes. Breaking the stereotypical greyish and dull metallic safe deposit boxes, the rectangular shapes are in a soft shade of pink and grey, generating a natural and comfortable atmosphere as opposed to the cold metallic tone. "Grandma's Home" is a restaurant chain that offers affordable cuisines in China. Originated in Hangzhou, the restaurant's slogan reads "Grandma's from Westlake". This new branch restaurant is located on the 8th floor of the shopping mall in GDA Plaza.
