The Parlevinkerplein in Amsterdam-Noord will have a new cultural center for the Banne-Noord district. The center features a theater hall, various activity rooms and a large meeting room on the ground floor and a breeding ground for artists on the upper floors. The municipality of Amsterdam Art & Culture is the client for the cultural part, the Buurtcentra Foundation is the client for the breeding ground. Rochdale is delegated developer.
NEXT's design is based on an open structure in which connection is central, a robust framework that is flexible and multifunctional. Vienna meets Mexico CityThe nostalgic splendor of the Condesa neighborhood in the heart of Mexico City is palpable: Built almost a century ago upon a former racetrack, it is one of the largest continuous Art Deco districts in the world and one of Mexico City’s architectural jewels. Upon visiting the property built in 1932, there was no doubt to breath fresh life into the building with a contemporary structure. At first, the local building authority was taken aback by the Viennese approach to planning – combining old ideas with new ones – but was quickly convinced. Erich Sattler Winery
Logical additionsBuilt on a 12 x 120 meters property, the Sattler Winery – located in the center of the village Tadten in Austria’s Burgenland region – was strategically expanded and remodeled. The formerly heterogeneous structure of the building was transformed into a coherent whole, offering various views, angles and topographies that relate to the state of the sun, the surroundings and the inner courtyard. Different room heights and the arrangement of different climate zones make the buildings flexible in use.
