Located in the historic heart of Shanghai, the first store of this playful fashion brand, is slightly set back from the street. Inspired by its small scale surroundings we wanted to work with a more abstract idea of what a new home could be like.  The store settles into its new neighborhood with a sequence of rooms, carefully positioned in accordance to the original structure. The spatial experience of the rooms and corridors lead to an intimate introduction of the brand. This showroom by the brand System is located in Kağıthane’s Cendere district, an area known for its concentration of interior decoration showrooms. The store showcases a wide range of accessories that might be needed in a home, organized into various product categories. altkat photography altkat photography The spatial strategy preserves the raw, industrial nature of the concrete structure, taking advantage of the site’s generous scale. Slowear18 is a concept store with a fluid and unexpected identity, that offers a complete integration between a mixology bar & café and a clothing store - which includes both the men's and women's collections of the brand - where the two activities complete and integrate each other with an overall synergy.  The two-spirit of the store  live together during the day while in the evening the furnishings literally transform: every day from 7 to 9.30 pm the space transforms into a mixology bar that offers a meticulous selection of spirits and drinks mixed in an atypical menu proposal, where the main theme is the great Italian aperitifery, alongside a gourmet cicchetteria in honor of the Venetian origins of the brand.
