Condo renovation

Originally designed in 1940 as a convent for the Serving Sisters of Saint-Coeur-de-Marie, Le Divin has been converted to feature 280 contemporary condominiums in a historic building in 2022 (phase 1) and 2023 (phase 2). While this site no longer serves as a convent, it is still the administrative headquarters for the province of Saint Joseph and a retirement home for many sisters of the community. The transformation of Fan Condo uses custom millwork and paneling together with material accents to convert a disconnected unit into an open-concept living space, improving the circulation from one space to the next and in so doing, highlighting the home’s unobstructed views of downtown Toronto.   Located on the 29th floor of a new residential development in North York, the original layout included a small kitchen nook between a family room and study. The redesign extends the footprint and size of the kitchen along the length of the east wall thereby providing an open relationship with the main living space. Landscape Design Workshop has won the 2017 American Architecture Prize in the category of Landscape Architecture / Outdoor Design for their project Las Olas Beach Club pool and amenity deck. The 35,000-square-foot amenity deck serves the residents of a 29-story luxury ocean-front condominium overlooking the famed Fort Lauderdale beach in South Florida. The amenity deck is composed of two connected levels. The upper level is located on the 6th floor and is built over a 5-story parking garage. The lower level is built on top of an adjacent historical building. Landscape Design Workshop focused on maximizing the magnificent ocean views while fusing together planting and hardscape to create a series of well-defined outd... There has been something of an industrial design Renaissance happening in the rust belt and across the nation. Recently, we discovered an old Buggy Works factory in Ohio that has been re-purposed and remodeled into modern condominiums.
