Interior NKF
The two-level apartment for rent is located in a constructivist building built in 1928-1930 by architects Moisei Ginzburg, Ignatius Milinis and engineer Sergei Prokhorov for high rank employees at the Commissariat of Finance (shortened to Narkomfin). In 2020, the complex reconstruction of the Narkomfin building was completed under the leadership of the chief architect of the project, Alexei Ginzburg, the grandson of the architect Moisei Ginzburg.
Three-room apartment is located in a residential unit - type K. On the first level there is a living room with a compact ergonomic kitchen and a small dining area, a bathroom and an entrance hall. Location – The project is located in Chandigarh. Chandigarh is a city designed by le Corbusier located 250km North of Delhi. The city was the first major master planning endeavor in independent India and is a symbol of modernism for the country.
Site: The site is located in sector 27, which is a part of the first phase of the city. This part of the city often referred to as Corbusian Chandigarh embodies the principles of CIAM of living, working, care of body & spirit and circulation. The site is a corner plot located on the internal sector road (V4 & V5). The site had zoning regulations with a setback on all 4 sides.

Purity of Thought
In this project we started from scratch consulting our client to help her select a new property for her family. As a result two adjacent units were chosen in a newly built city center residential tower and we launched the project from the shell-and-core stage combining the two units into a single 115 sq. m 3-bedroom apartment.
It addition to the luxury of working with free space planning we enjoyed the carte blanche in terms of the concept or stylistic choices.
With the client’s personality being the main source of inspiration we named this project “Purity of Thought”.

The OSA Group (Organization of Contemporary Architects) was an architectural association formed in the Soviet Union during the 1920’s. It gathered important figures of what became known later as constructivist architecture. For the OSA, the architect was not only a builder, he also had to be a sociologist for the new era, a politician of the built environment, and a skilled technician to engineer the future.
From 1926 onwards, the OSA used the magazine SA (Sovremennaïa Arkhitektoura) to (propager) its ideas and projects. The residential complex on Barochnaya Street
The territory of the residential complex is situated in the district where a monument of constructivist architecture – the bread-baking plant is located. The complex represents the dispersed buildings with the pronounced composite axis emphasizing the predominating role of the plant building. The project also includes the reconstruction of the plant building for the museum purpose.
