Residence CEDAR
The semi‐detached urban residence built in 1910 on the slopes of Mount Royal, near the city center, was acquired in 2020 by the current owners. The residence had to be renovated given its age, the lack of maintenance and the state of degradation of several elements. The building had been the subject of several more or less interesting and successful interventions by the previous owners. Nevertheless, several original elements were still present and needed to be highlighted. It should be noted that the original building had undergone an extension in 1920 designed by the Montreal architectural firm Ross and Macdonald.

La Selva
La Selva emerged from the renovation of a classic 1970s house, which in turn was the result of an extension of a typical Apulian trullo (a typical form of Apulian dwelling ndr). The intention was to revive the structure by giving it a new lease of life. The first intervention was to demolish the reinforced concrete roof built in the 1970s, together with the stringcourses also made of reinforced concrete. The windows - all irregular - were transformed into French windows by simply extending them downwards and maintaining the irregularity typical of Mediterranean architecture.

An age-old architectural question is determining an eloquent technique to add to a structure that works cohesively. There is no single correct answer, but we believe that constant debate is necessary. This client commissioned us for a modern expression that fits our sensibilities – a perfect match.
Our initial planning study uncovered tight constraints within the zoning setbacks that limited our initial expansion concept. Contemporary Warmth
Nestled within the heart of the Cap d’Antibes, with the sea in sight, a once outdated neo-Provençal villa with old fashioned balustrades has been entirely rejuvenated by the Cannes based architecture firm Caprini & Pellerin. The villa now boasts a contemporary style elevated by Mediterranean architectural influences. The villa Fidji is now a stunning contemporary refurbishment.
