Seoidin Courtyard House
We were commissioned to design a new 3-bed house for a family with historic connections to Ratoath Village in Co. Meath. This family was deeply rooted in the area, and therefore it was important that this house would blend effortlessly into its surroundings. The form and layout were inspired by the local vernacular, in particular the Irish farmhouse typology, which is found throughout the region. The building was organised around three courtyards and three chimneys.The external forecourt deals primarily with the arrival. House in the forest
The house is located on the border that separates a suburban development of single-family houses and a protected forest area. The main strategy followed in the project is to let the house take advantage of this special location and make the most of its double condition by merging them both; the wild nature of the forest on the one hand and the built or suburban environment on the other.

Lakhani Villa
The Lakhani Villa, in Ahmedabad, embodies the concept of ‘Tranquil Modernism’, blending timeless contemporary design principles with serene, nature-integrated living spaces. With an aesthetic featuring a clean geometry and uncluttered spaces, it provides a sanctuary from the urban chaos. The beige and white sandstone and exposed architectural concrete, complements the minimalist design. Expansive shaded glazing, spacious balconies, and landscaped courtyards and lawns integrate the indoor and outdoor spaces, fostering a profound sense of harmony with nature.

Located in an urban farmland area of Gujarat, India, Shed 2.0 by Studio ii accommodates studios, workshops, and other ancillary facilities for a designer mother/daughter duo.
The Fishy Project
Conceived as an extension of landscape, the project presents a contemporary programme within a largely traditional spatial vocabulary of forecourt, verandas, courtyards, and mezzanine spaces that draw from traditional Guajarati architecture. Peripheral extensions into the landscape provide an additional social and programmatic richness.

The client approached us to work on the project and were involved within the creative industries themselves as founders of Studio XAG. From the very beginning, the project was about refurbishing and extending the house whilst injecting the Clients creative personalities as designers and makers themselves.
