Reframing Retail as Cultural Infrastructure: Unity Mall is conceived as an architectural response to a national question:Can retail infrastructure become an instrument of cultural integration, ecological sensitivity, and economic empowerment? Shillong, the capital city of Meghalaya, is the primary gateway to the state. The site, located within the emerging New Shillong Township, is part of a rapidly developing administrative and institutional zone. Ponto C - Cultura e Criatividade

The Ponto C - Cultura e Criatividade project is more than just a new space in the city of Penafiel. It contributes to a transformation in the city’s urban fabric. A new entrance and a new connection with the southern area allow for structured expansion, putting aside the phrase that echoed for years as “the city split down the middle.” A renewed proximity with the historic center: what was once “the back” is now a carefully designed front, facing Praça de S. Exchange Square

Exchange Square, designed by DSDHA, is a refurbishment of a major 1.5-acre public park above the tracks of Liverpool Street Station in London. Our terrazzo was supplied throughout, including water features, amphitheatre steps, paving and planter edges with complex 3D pieces. The challenge for In Opera was to provide over 3000 pieces, 90% of which were unique and many having to fit into each other perfectly. The 1.5-acre park will see a four-fold increase in the amount of planting and dramatically enhance biodiversity, with 25% of the area featuring green space that is accessible to all.
