Curtain tracks

Direct Fabrics were asked by a domestic customer to manufacture and install made to measure curtains to cover their lounge windows. The customer had seen electric curtain tracks and wanted to have one fitted right the way around the open space and if possible with a single stacking curtain.   After speaking with the customer at length we reviewed their requirements it was decided to use a heavy-duty electric curtain track with an 80mm wave curtain heading with a weight tolerance upto 70kg. The wave heading is a static cord that means the gliders are spaced evenly and creates a wave /surge/flow effect. VIVID Architects prepared the initial concept design for this home, a contemporary reboot of the more classical architectural styles. SAOTA - Stefan Antoni Olmesdahl Truen Architects and ANTONI ASSOCIATES were then appointed to refine & develop the design and oversee the project to completion. The facade is Georgian inspired but the modern aspect of the look is driven by a dynamic of recessed and projecting panels and cubes that create courtyards and terraces that articulate and add interest to what is a highly organised shell. The Brunswick Centre is a wonderful example of mixed-used modernist architecture. It was designed in the mid-1960s by Patrick Hodgkinson; the construction was finished in 1972 and in 2006 the occupiers of 560 flats and various shops have seen an end of the major refurbishment works. It is now grade II listed and Space Group Architects have been asked to remodel one of its duplex apartments from scratch. Every internal wall has been removed and replaced with a wooden two-story box to one end.
