 Our Countryside Rambler is located in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Because the whole house is situated on a hill, how you can enter the site was a design challenge we solved with a unique side entry system. Inspired by decades of travel to Kenya, our clients wanted a home that would reflect their love for The Continent and serve as a museum for the artifacts they’ve gathered. The Africa Safari style home is an homage to their deep love and commitment to Kenya, complete with a traditional, circular rondavel and museum room. This custom colonial home replaced an existing cape on the same property. The owners originally intended to add onto & remodel. A “tear the roof off & build a second story addition” project quickly segued into designing a new 7000 SF house.   This is a classic grand colonial, with a front porch that extends the full width of the house. All primary living spaces are arranged along the back of the house to take advantage of the southern exposure. The second floor consists of a master bedroom suite and with 3 bedrooms, along with a play room above the garage. A paneled library with a cathedral ceiling is on the left end of the house, with a large bluestone terrace on the back of the house with access from multiple rooms. Georgian Colonial home in Greenwich CT: This is a custom home on a “tear-down lot” on a 2.6 acre property. The clients wanted to design a classic Georgian colonial home, complete with brick veneer, slate roof & copper gutters.   There are 10,000 SF over 3 floors, with the typical formal & informal spaces on the first floor along with a large terrace. A covered porch off the living room includes an exterior fireplace and TV. The second floor consists of a master bedroom suite along with 4 bedrooms, each with a private bathroom. Nestled in a diverse neighbourhood pocket in Albert Park, the original building was a dilapidated double-fronted Victorian house book-ended by a double-storey terrace house on its south side. The house is located on a corner allotment that is pinched in by the main street and a laneway which gives it its irregular, triangular "pizza" shape that tapers towards the rear. This three bedroom house on Crystal Lake comprises 2,600 sf plus a 300 sf guest suite over the detached garage. The skewed plan allows the house to relate well to the street while orienting for the best views of the lake.
