While the landward side of the house has fewer openings to create privacy, the seaward side uses floor-to-ceiling glazing to emphasize living on the water.

Clerestory windows above the eyeline create a sense of unlimited views outward.

Tongass Ledge

Tongass Ledge sits gently perched over the Alaskan shore. Overlooking inlet waters and balanced at the edge of a rock wall, two volumes at a subtle angle capture the breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. For a busy client who splits time between Seattle and Ketchikan, the complete design required a simple form and program, personalized through highly custom interiors. This is a housing project in AYA, MIYAZAKI, JAPAN. The site exists at the foot of a mountain with the surrounding green environment.House is built at the ground which levels 2.5m higher than the road in front of the site.The site is big enough to include house, garden and parking.Large space at the center of house includes living, dining and kitchen connecting to wood deck outside through large window .People in this space can watch forest across the road below through the wood deck.Family spend peaceful time with watching outside forest from kitchen in cooking, dining in eating meal and living in napping on sofa. Downside Up House

Nestled in a diverse neighbourhood pocket in Albert Park, the original building was a dilapidated double-fronted Victorian house book-ended by a double-storey terrace house on its south side. The house is located on a corner allotment that is pinched in by the main street and a laneway which gives it its irregular, triangular "pizza" shape that tapers towards the rear. As a heritage listed building, it was imperative to rescue the front of house which was in a severe state of disrepair.
