A Home on the Hill
This apartment is nestled in a 1970s condominium complex situated on the slopes of the Collina in the municipality of Bissone, in the Canton of Ticino of Switzerland. To reach the entrance of the property, one proceeds downhill, as the condominium access is located on the rooftop of the building. This "inverted" layout is reflected inside the apartment: an 80-square-meter duplex with an entrance and living area superimposed over the sleeping area.

Upon entering, visitors are surprised by a single, large space flooded with natural light from the bow window at the end of the apartment, an elongated space that stretches towards Lake Ceresio. The interior design color palette is inspired by this view: the lake, the... More

Solvallagata 68
"Solvallagata68" is a residential project commissioned by a very friendly and social family who is used to host friends and relatives on a daily basis. For this reason the design concept’s goal was to create a spacious open-plan living area encouraging family members and their guests to spend time together. The white Corian countertop faces a wide window that b... More

Yet, despite this, the building has a rich history and some beautiful architecture. Wanting to give the historic shop a renewed freshness whilst remaining sensitive to its original character and features, we started by stripping everything back to the bare minimum, in doing so opening up dark corners and reinvigorating the space. At the ground floor, we wanted a strong focal point that would bring some wow factor. The obvious choice was to make use of the natural ligh... More

Universal Wood Open Fireplaces
THE ART OF MINIMALISM
These traditional wood-burning open fireplaces are chosen because of the aesthetical impact in the room, the large dimensions, the minimalistic construction of the components, and the possibility to have it fully made to measure. This results in endless possibilities in size, style and finish. In addition to the Metalfire® cast iron ribs (ORIGINAL), there is a construction comprising solid 10 mm thick steel streaks in a random assembly of different widths (DESIGN) available. The sliding spark screen in fine metal mesh, the fire grate and removable ashpan, the flue gas and air valve which can be closed, and the choice with regard to interior finish make the UNIVERSAL fireplace, as an equivalent of the masonry fire...
