Domus Oliva

Could a house be designed to resemble an open garden? A garden that fosters social interaction among family members, frames the sky as part of daily life, and adapts its functions to the changing seasons. Domus Oliva is a house located in the suburbs of Nicosia, Cyprus, designed to meet the needs of a young family of four. The program is straightforward: a living room, a kitchen, a workspace, two bedrooms, and one en-suite bedroom. creative photo room creative photo room The site, with its gentle slopes, low Cypriot vegetation, scattered olive trees, and low-density residential development, serves as the canvas where architecture and program will meet. Domus Maya

The house is located in the south-eastern suburbs of Nicosia, on a plot of a new urban neighborhood. To the south lies the familiar urban chaos of the city composed of scattered residential buildings in an inhomogeneous arrangement. To the north the vast agricultural fields highlight the extensive horizon offering unobstructed views of the trapezoidal hill of Aronas. The program is typical: a two-story house with 3 bedrooms and a guest room for a young family of four. The Limassol Pebble

Sculptural forms and innovative design are the main features of “Pebble” proposed project for developers "Masharii“ and „The Land“ for the mixed-use tower in Limassol. The inspiration for the project was directly in front of AVA's team- at the wonderful beach, or more precisely in the simple childhood memory of playing with pebbles and stacking them on top of each other. It is exactly this plain expression of beauty and freedom that inspired the final form of the building. The seemingly complex orientation of the pebbles i.e. levels is designed to create a premium living experience while maximizing the sellable area of the building. The pebbles are shaped by a steel structure around a reinforced concrete core... More
