The Ex Office Tosi, situated next to Ambientevario Studio, are symbolic for Formigine, as they are representing the first artisanal nucleus, which enabled the town to firstly develop, originally known as “Zona Pila”. The building once used to host the company: “Tosi Carlo & Figli”, founded by Carlo Tosi in 1880, and specialized in the production of agricultural machinery, mainly in shellers, which spread in the early1930’s. Shellers, were used to isolate extraneous seeds, from the rest of the harvested. During the Second World War, the workshops suffered damage caused by bombing, which were unfortunately common in that area, and they had therefore been rebuilt right after the conflict.
