Casa Caribu is located to the west of the Guadalajara metropolitan area in the municipality of Zapopan, Jalisco México. This area is adjacent to the Protected Natural Area of the Bosque de la Primavera, one of the largest natural spaces surrounding the city. Fortunately, the subdivision where Casa Caribu is situated lies at the edge of this zone, where the predominant forest of pines and oaks, due to the area’s altitude, integrates the house into this natural conservation system. Casa da Lagoa is a weekend residence for a family who lives in the capital and found this nautical condominium a refuge in the middle of nature. Roberta Gewehr Roberta Gewehr One of the main guidelines of the project was to create as many openings to the front of the land as possible to allow sunrise and incredible views of Lagoa da Pinguela. As a result, the plan is organized so that the social area faces the front, as the back area is narrower due to the trapezoidal shape of the land. As the fourth most populated city in Indonesia, residential land in the metropolitan area of Bandung city remains limited. Paperhome is a compact house located in the touristic Dago suburb, known for a decent and relatively cold tropic weather, with scenic viewing at the uphill part of Bandung. Located in the crowded area of Dago, Paperhome sits at 6 x 10-meter lot facing northern side. Given a nearby public school and the main street within 20-meter radius, the noise provokes as one of the design challenge. The original two semi-detached houses design were done during the 1930. The house was developed to a doctor were the ground floor, in the main façade, was to his own practise. During the 60´s the house underwent enlargement works where lost the characteristics of the original design.   Different materials and spacing scales were mixed without any criteria with the original project. There were clear two eras inside the house and not related between them. This contemporary apartment was designed to replace an old childhood home. Despite the limitations in the design of the plan and its inability to create a nostalgic atmosphere, we tried to design the facade of the structure’s corner with playful rainbow colored highlights woods, rusted bars, these colorful windows appears to be a painting for children and infants from the old home reminiscent of sweet childhood times. Nestled in a diverse neighbourhood pocket in Albert Park, the original building was a dilapidated double-fronted Victorian house book-ended by a double-storey terrace house on its south side. The house is located on a corner allotment that is pinched in by the main street and a laneway which gives it its irregular, triangular "pizza" shape that tapers towards the rear.
