House in Okayama

We thought about "putting sky closer" in designing of this house.
The site is commercial area and formed of sityspace by crammed with various scales from apartments to old houses.
When we took a little back and saw that, these cityspace's skyline maked a borderline of sky and living space by composed of aggregates of each architecture.
We considered relation of sky and living space in the residential area.
We put roof made borderline of sky and living space close to us instead of setiing high ceiling height to get relation with sky and aiming for high ceiling in strict setback regulations and height regulations.
If you see in point of macro view, the skyline of roof has distortion and you can get the feeling about it a little came sky close to us.
You can reach it when you a little reach for that, look out of the roof when you stand up and so on.
The roof as the borderline of sky gone down well and living space is place as a near by person's behavior.
In this house, there is an attraction can feel close to gentle roof and sky across that.
