Modern Residence located on a dry lot of the DiLido Island in Miami Beach. 3,850 sq ft of living area that shapes and proposed a solution for a challenged corner lot, minimizing the impact and strategically integrated with the neighborhood thanks to a shift back of the house in the large section of the lot, giving the open space to the street where the pool and outdoor areas are a visual extension of the urban space. Vertical Louvers has been introduced on the 2nd floor balconies to provide another floating shape to this modern residence. With over 35 years’ experience, George Marbo is a master craftsman. His namesake label Marbo Shirt offers the gentlemen of Sydney a bespoke tailoring service which produces crisp, well-constructed dress shirts. The refurbished store is a retail space and working studio that is quietly confident, using a textural palette of modest finishes.   The brief was to refresh the existing heritage space with a relatively small budget. The tenancy was haphazard in its layout and lacked ambience, organisation and personality. The existing building was a dilapidated hinge factory. The conversion to a graphic design studio sought to retain the industrial architecture of the elevations and the riveted steel trusses within. The apex of the long roof was glazed to admit a large amount of natural light to the main space. Open plan offices occupy the entire first floor, intentionally bounded by large glazed elements on either elevation. The ground floor spaces contain all of the organisation's other spaces including: meeting rooms, gallery, recording studio and audio-visual facilities. These spaces are more private and introverted. Setter Architects offices are located in Tel Aviv.  The design derived from the desire to create wealth in materials and textures in order to create an inspiring work environment, yet a work environment that feels like home. The entire office is paved with a soft, textured carpet and gives a pleasant and homely feel. The front desk has a raw iron façade with a laser cut logo, corresponding to a Corten steel column and a library with an iron wire mesh front. The building materials were deliberately used as a hint of the nature of the firm's work. Wooden decorative lighting fixtures illuminate the entrance area, alongside a bare block wall.
