Loman Street Studio

The existing building was a dilapidated hinge factory. The conversion to a graphic design studio sought to retain the industrial architecture of the elevations and the riveted steel trusses within. The apex of the long roof was glazed to admit a large amount of natural light to the main space.

Open plan offices occupy the entire first floor, intentionally bounded by large glazed elements on either elevation. The ground floor spaces contain all of the organisation's other spaces including: meeting rooms, gallery, recording studio and audio-visual facilities. These spaces are more private and introverted.
