Livingston Manor House . Livingston Manor NYThe Livingston Manor house is located 2 hours northwest of New York City in the West Catskills. The house was designed as a private rural escape for a Brooklyn based graphic designer and his family. Livingston Manor House is 1800 sqft comprising a large open living and dining room, two bedrooms, utility and bathroom. The home’s distinguishing design feature is a deep triangulated cantilevered roofline engineered to float over the wrapping deck. On the outskirts of Bergen, we designed a passive house for a family with young children. The big monumental trees that grow on the site create a gorgeous setting for the new family residence. Carefully, we blended the house into the surroundings to make it feel as the house is on a par with nature.  Jan Willem Dragt The ambition to build a house with low energy consumption and a healthy climate was trendsetting for all our design choices. The project in question is a rehabilitation of an old known hotel in the center of the city of Vigo, the Hotel Galicia. It consists of eight luxury homes, three of 226m2, four of 166m2 and one of more than 320m2, and which also has semi-automatic parking on its ground floor and cellar per floor in the basement. According to the calculations made for the passivhaus certification, the demand for heating is 12kWh/m2y and for cooling 5kWh/m2y. 31-Jan-2017 Patch22, designed by FRANTZEN et al, was awarded the WAN 2016 residential award on January 10th 2017 and was also given a Green Award a day earlier. In December the project was runner-up to the Amsterdam Zuiderkerk award for the best housing project of 2016 while in November Patch22 was runner-up for the ARC2016 innovation awards.
