Leonali
An environmentally responsible office project, focused on recycling and reusing both space and materials.
Developed inside a former textile factory from the first half of the twentieth century, Oficinas Leonali seeks to revive a disused space by giving another essence to the place.

The project takes advantage of and rescues the original structure of the factory, adapting the building to create a new use and atmosphere within the space. Inside the factory, a free floor plan is created, which is used to generate the project with the least number of dividing walls to separate the spaces. Each space has windows to allow permeability and integration of all spaces.

Jack Lovel
The site’s layered history began with a pioneering family, after whom Moat’s Corner was named. A gnarled cypress lined driveway is a historic cue to the first settlers on this rural property within the coastal town on Melbourne’s Mornington Peninsula. Next came almost 70 years of a gardener’s cultivating and collecting, resulting in a rambling and diverse array of flora across 5 acres of the 53 acre stretch. A new phase now and the owners’ commitment to create a ho... More

Pembroke House

The glass ends to the pool draw your eye to set the tone from the initial drive up. Behind a concrete fin, the ultimate pool deck that conjures a scene from a Slim Aarons photo shoot. Playing into the pool house style was the design for the guest retreat. The space sits at its own level while maintaining direct access from the lower storey. A recreational deck wraps the glazed walls which view back through the pool in one direction and across the tree tops in the other. Complete with veneer robe and a walk around ensuite, it’s the ideal retreat for guests. More

Richard J. Daley College - MTEC
JGMA’s design strategy for the Daley College - Manufacturing, Technology and Engineering Center (MTEC) utilizes building transparency to showcase machines, equipment, and products integral to the learning objectives of the colleges as well as provide a visual connection to the surrounding West Lawn community. The seamless fluidity to the building’s form was inspired by the constant and linear flow of the manufacturing process. The building spans the main thoroughfare of 76th Street with a strong industrial bridge that links the south and north campus of Richard J. Daley College.
The new building celebrates the manufacturing industry through the expression of materials such as metal panels, glass, and exposed steel. In a... More
