Fast-casual restaurant Art of Dosa introduces a taste of South India to Chicago’s Revival Food Hall, with a greater mission of popularizing the dosa throughout the city. The design draws aesthetic inspiration from the bold colors, textures, and interiors of South India, creating a vibrant experience for visitors. More

The longest in Warsaw, this 40 metre bar appeared in the very heart of the restored Hala Koszyki, a famous food market hall. We had the pleasure to work on this project from scratch – not only taking care of its visual aspect and functionality, but also co-creating the whole concept itself. Inspired with the pre-war Warsaw and the Mediterrenean aperitivo culture, Bar Koszyki combines history with modern trends. The shape of the stand with subtly rounded corners gives the impression of an endless counter and makes the guest think of the places where the Warsawers enjoyed their time in the 1920s. Originally constructed in 1894, a devastating fire claimed the historic Pearl Bottling House in 2003. Pearl salvaged as much from the rubble as possible, and hired Clayton Korte to rebuild the 13,132-square foot-structure as a modern interpretation of a lost Classical Revival jewel that would serve as a venue for emerging chefs and culinary talent.   Located at the heart of the historic Pearl campus, the Bottling Department sits along the San Antonio River and is the city’s first food hall that houses local chefs. A Gastronomic theme park of provenance, passion, quality and community, laughter, music and stories about how food is made, by real people, for real people, in real time. The design for Blè food hall is centered on the idea of the uniqueness of the majestic fire oven. This extraordinary silent feature, visible from the street, is meant to impress and to make the visitor to ponder about one of the key topics of our time: the source of quality and healthy food. As per 1+1=1 style, this relevant concept is expressed in a rather poetic way: the fire oven monolithic form, built of natural clay and whitish earth pigment, is expressed as a symbol of fire, earth and sky. Lotus is a well established brand in China with 70 supermarkets across the country. In an effort to appeal to discerning shoppers in the Pudong area and to compete with the many new luxury food brands moving in to the Shanghai, Lotus commissioned HEAD to develop a new flagship store transitioning from 100% local brands, toward a larger component of foreign products and services. The store has been re-planned around two main areas. Firstly a fresh section, followed by the dry area which encompasses non-food, beauty and preserved items.
