Apple Marunouchi, located in the 1973 Mitsubishi Building adjacent to the busy Tokyo Station, opened to the public on Saturday, 7 September. International design studio, Conran and Partners, have completed the redesign of the ground floor of one of London’s most prominent office buildings, 200 Gray’s Inn Road. Originally designed by Foster + Partners and opened in 1991, the building is currently occupied by a number of high-profile media organisations including ITN Productions, ITV and Warner Bros. Great Portland Estates plc (GPE), owner of 200 Gray’s Inn Road, sought to adapt the space to respond to the changing work culture of modern occupiers; one which blurs the edges between work and leisure time. The winning proposal for the expansion and remodelling of the Bilbao Fine Arts Museum was revealed today by the president of the Provincial Council of Bizkaia and the Bilbao Fine Arts Museum Foundation Board. The installation of Gerry Judah's new monumental sculpture. The Foster + Epstein + JGMA design is based upon a sequence of memorable and distinctive spaces that create a gateway to Chicago with architecture that is open, transparent, inclusive, welcoming and functional, in turn resolving the sophisticated security, airport and airline requirements in a way that meets the needs of both employees and passengers. Three arches frame the landside of the building, merging into a grand single arch on the airside, thus dissolving the barrier between inside and out and allowing the spectacle of the airfield to be visible to all who pass through the gateway, and recapturing the romance associated with air travel. A unique amalgam of community-based amenities, heritage restoration, high-end luxury residences, and public green space, 50 Scollard lays the foundation for a rich social anchor within a vibrant district in downtown Toronto. The 41-storey residential tower is located on the corner of Bay and Scollard Streets in Yorkville, Toronto.
