Vlorë Stadium
The Vlore Stadium project rethinks the role of a stadium within the urban fabric of Vlore, Albania. Rather than treating the stadium as a single-purpose sports facility, the proposal considers it as a new piece of city capable of reconnecting different parts of the urban area and generating everyday public activity.
The project site lies between the main road of the city and a less-defined urban area. The proposal therefore extends beyond the stadium itself, establishing a new relationship between the predominantly residential western side of the city and the eastern area through a sequence of public and mixed-use spaces. Opera di Roma, stage design for Tosca and Turandot
In celebration of the centenary of Giacomo Puccini's death, the 2024 Caracalla Festival honored the composer with two new productions of Tosca and Turandot, running from the Summer Season. For the first time in their career, architects Doriana and Massimiliano Fuksas took on the task of designing the stage for the grand opera. Their vision expertly fused the ancient and the contemporary, paying tribute to the historic Baths of Caracalla, the venue for these performances.

Palazzo dell'Ex Unione Militare
In the historical city centre of Rome, the palace of the formerMilitary Union has preserved its austere image despite beingtransformed into a megastore designed by Massimilianoand Doriana Fuksas. The conservative restoration of thetwentieth-century façades adopted the EBE 65 system tointerpret and faithfully reproduce all the openings. In the mainfaçade, between the mock-classical style heavy columns andtrabeations , the painted galvanised steel profiles reconstructthe extensive glass surfaces, preserving the image whilstadapting the performance.
