Crafting a multifunctional space from what was once an outdated cigarette factory, this design project namely 'ISLAND133' aims to create a remarkable impression on people while incorporating a unique dining experience. Honoring the old manufacturer's characteristics and visual verticality, the space incorporates elements of Taiwanese Modernism, creating an urban oasis that reflects life on the island of Taiwan. The design strives to create a harmonious combination of contrasting elements that do not overshadow the original architectural identity. The design of 22 owner-occupied city apartments, 11 townhouses and an underground car park for the residents of the building on the Markendaalseweg. The buildings are situated on the side of the canal closest to the centre, following the city’s medieval perimeter. The canal follows the former course of the River Mark. There is a pedestrian zone and a cycle route between the canal and the residential block. On June 10, 2011 the Hampshire Hotels opened the doors of the new four-star Manor Hotel - Hampshire Eden. This former Civil Hospital has beenfully restored to its original condition, with trendy interior. Commissioned by Aedes Real Estate we helped creating that with different BN collections: BN Digital Printing, BN Fusion & Suwide en BN Residential Wallcoverings. FeranHugo Interior Design designed the Eden Amsterdam Manor Hotel and used the knowledge of BN Wallcoverings for a special theme on thewalls. The hotel rooms have different atmospheres.
