Facing a national housing crisis Belgium encourages development and intensification of their small towns instead of sprawl. Neither rural nor urban, what form should housing in these areas take? Located in Avelgem Belgium, this project is situated on a significant road leading to the old tower church, and directly faces City Hall. Smart village to adapt to changes in sea level rise inspired by the biomimetic structure of "Pufferfish" A smart village that responds to the environment and adapts to it. Ganvie is a lake village in Benin, Africa, lying in Lake Nokoué. One of the problems of Ganvie Lake Village is the high water level. The best answer is "water for water". The biomimetic structure of pufferfish and its strategy to deal with enemies is by inflation with water or air. The Skovbrynet project (5800 m2), with low energy and sustainable approach, combines pragmatism and poetry - reason and aesthetics - in order to create responsible and exemplary houses that can help to lead the way for energy-efficient and competitive public housing in the future.
