Oasis 2 Residence

This luxury residence was embedded into this steep hillside to overlook Lake Travis from two confluent directions. We were challenged to create views through, and access to, the pool from every room on the main level. In response, we created a glass jewell box that sits on top of a concrete plinth. The main entry area is an open void that bridges the lake to the user upon immediate entry. The lower level is is comprised of four individual private suites that pierce through the concrete shell to accommodate lake views.   More

Project • By IdealParkIndividual Buildings

Along the left side of the river stands a two-building complex, one of the buildings looking over the water, the other one facing uphill, both joined in a single property since the late 1800s. Between the two palaces there’s a common garden, a very interesting example of that period’s environmental architecture, created according to the principles of the modern English-style landscape garden, with lovely perspective effects. The remarkable and peculiar features of the Palace inserted into the surrounding landscape grant the complex a status of prestige and history.  The project shows how an antique style coexist with a spectacular  technological installation, an IdealPark car lift IP1-CM MOB, capable of camouflaging it... Digital Technology Client

CORE evaluated an existing one-story garage building in Adams Morgan to transform the space into a new design studio for a digital technology client.Located at 2414 18th Street NW, the garage building was originally constructed in 1906 for luxury car parking. CORE's design for this adaptive reuse project preserves the building façade and retains the existing window and entrance openings while replacing panes and doors. The new roof is designed to be similar in shape and appearance but showcase skylights, dormers, and a terrace with a glass guardrail. The program requires demolition of the complete building interior, excavation of the slab on grade structure for a full basement, and a second-story addition. CORE was working... More

Architecture for addition

On the hills of central Italy, a house 60s with an attached craft activity is transformed by the recent restructuring in a family house. A large marble base on which has been reassembled the whole construction. Scenes that go beyond the large base to extend the surrounding terrain and communicate with it. The materials that alternate are: cotto facing in dividing walls, glass mosaic columns, copper in finishes and coverings, marble and brick on prospectuses. Covered walkways, porticoes and a large terrace overlooked by large windows for the new ground floor apartment, whose clients were asking precisely to be able to enjoy the surrounding landscape and feel constantly inhabitants of their green garden... Project • By DZAPOffices

Ford moved its Dutch headquarters, including FCE Bank, to The Oak Building, a wing of the Garden Offices in Amstelveen. Before the design phase, DZAP ran a technical due diligence investigation and then worked towards a design for a modern, open, transparent office. The characteristics: distinctive, inspiring, functional, robust, and with a clear Ford identity. The use of heavy industrial elements evokes the atmosphere of an old-fashioned garage. The company’s rich history is given a place of honour in the location on the ‘wall of fame’ in the cafeteria. More

Morgan Phoa Library and Residence

Located in the Los Feliz area of greater Los Angeles, this project was a rare opportunity to restore and build onto a historically designated property originally designed by Wallace Neff in the 1920s.Work included the interior renovation of the family room, restoring the ceiling archways and demolishing its north facing wall for a new entry way. A carefully designed palette of hardscape introduced a balanced outdoor area, and a pool addition, lined with tiles from the historic Jackling House, designed by George Washington Smith and once owned by Steve Jobs, gave reason to further enjoy the southern California climate.A new two-story building, consisting of a garage on its first level and a private library on the second level, includes... TPS- Tower Parking System

The Tower Parking System allows to park up to 70 vehicles in the space of three. The TPS is definitely the most efficient system when it comes to saving horizontal space and taking advantage of vertical space. The Tower is able to multiply the existing parking capacity more than 20 times, using the footprint of three parking spaces. Towers may be installed one next to the other, one behind the other and in clusters; increasing even more their incredible potential for space optimization.Even though Tower Parking Systems may reach a total of 35 levels, they can also be designed and built in lower configurations to accommodate different height restrictions. It is important to highlight that parking “levels” are lower than - or not as high... More
