Contemporary Japanese Garden Design In The Country
Joining forces with the clients for a third time, following a rooftop garden at their Barbican penthouse apartment and bespoke containers in their country home, we commenced this cultural pilgrimage to design & build a modern Japanese garden in Essex. Returning from a holiday in Japan, mesmerised by its unique gardens, the clients sought to develop a contemporary interpretation. With a 220 sqm sheltered courtyard in their 5-hectare acreage, the site was mechanically cleared for a new, inventive, modern Japanese landscape design.

Salimi Terrace
The story goes back to 20 years ago in the Sheikh Baha’i area of Tehran.A villa which most important space was its yard. A space that was gradually forgotten by unprecedented expansion of building too many apartments in Tehran in the 70s and 80s. This apartment was five-storey building with high occupancy rate, up to the fourth floor. (in accordance with the construction permit of Tehran Municipality at the time of construction of the project).
