Renovation Aartshertogenlaan
A monumental apartment block from the fifties, in property of 32 different owners needed a renovation. Especially the window frames with single glass in it created a lot of condense and sound problems. After extensive research whereby different options were inspected and a lot of communication was done with local government authorities, we decided to remove the existing window frames with aluminium frames . The renovation profile CS24-SL from Reynaers was chosen because it matched the most the image of a slim frame, resembling the old window frames. Huize Vreeburg
Huize Vreeburg in Rosmalen is a building with a rich history and recognizable located on the corner of a major road
through the village. It has in the past, among other things, served as a post office and in recent years was used as a residence.
Sonder Jansen, an international importer, exporter and producer of frozen fruit and vegetables, acquired the property because of its distinctive appearance and wanted to establish his headquarters here. The villa is fully restored and treated with respect to the austere appearance of the villa.

Beethovenlaan
In the sixties, the city of ‘s-Hertogenbosch was expanded with a new suburb called ‘Zuid’, located on the south side of the city and composed around a large park: ‘het Zuiderpark’. A spacious, green villa area is situated on the southern edge of this park. In this quiet suburb the demolition of a primary school made space for a new development. Being in the proximity of the park, a small shopping mall and several medical services, the new development consists of 22 senior apartments, 10 patio dwellings for the elderly and 16 low-care units for people with a schizophrenic illness.

Farmyard, 4 houses at Oud-Empel
Due to the demolition of several old sheds a unique plot became vacant in Oud-Empel. Oud-Empel is a small village situated along side embankment of the river Maas. The dike divides the village in two parts: the unsafe waterfront where the smaller labourers cottages are situated and a protected side with the large farms and small factories and where the notables lived.
With respect to this historical setting four new volumes are scattered loosely on the protected location. The volumes make a characteristic historical composition of a farmyard with a large brick house with barns. But instead a agricultural function this barnyard has a residential function.

House at the edge of a forest
The house, situated on a beautiful lot at the edge of the forest, consists of two different volumes: an L-shaped base on which an oblong volume balances. Together they form a sculpture which resembles a fallen tree on a pile of earth.
The public functions of the house are situated in the L-shaped base. The outside walls of the L-shape which face the public road look unapproachable and secretive. The wall is made with long, dark, robust bricks emphasizing the horizontal lines.

Holiday home in the Algarve
In the Algarve, the south of Portugal, the transition from the coast to the hilly midlands is characterized by an ascending landscape. Historical agricultural structures, such as vineyards and orchards form an idyllic setting. We designed a holiday home for a Dutch principal on one of these typical plots with an old citrus- and olive orchard. The main focus point of the design are the life outdoors, the sun, the fantastic view over the ocean and the gathering around family and friends.
