Our latest office project involves renovating a 60's building and adjoining a new extension to wrap up the original volume. Rather than opting for a completely new construction, we agreed with the client to reuse and extend their former office to achieve their strict sustainability targets.

Baksters Office
MUN Architects transforms a 4 story shophouse into a tech office.Located in the middle of the hectic city of Bangkok, Thailand. The typical low ceiling shophouse building has been reprogrammed and refurbished for Baksters. Started by emptying the building, removing some unwanted floor slabs, and keeping the original reinforced concrete post and beam structure. The timber walls are introduced as a buffer from the brick walls being used in the whole alley to create a sense of being enclosed by natural material.

Slot Grating
The SLOT DRAINAGE is part of an integral system, consisting of a discrete slot, a channel body and a sump unit for optimal maintenance of the drainage system. It is an inverted “T” or “L” shaped grating model, that stands out mainly for its aesthetics, since it integrates perfectly in the pavement (either concrete, paving stone or tiles), totally blending in with the urban landscape.
It is an integral system developed by the Department of Engineering of ULMA, adaptable to different models of channel and available in galvanised and stainless steel. It withstands a load up to D-400 according to Standard EN1433.
