A New Port
Designed and built in 2007 by three couples as a co-housing initiative in Melbourne's inner west, this property was at the vanguard of Australian sustainable passive house design.
Mindful of the legacy of the project, the new clients were looking for an update to the kitchen,bringing in modern high-tech conveniences with a calm, clutter-free sense of organisation.

The new kitchen island incorporates a graceful curve to better complement the concave form of the house. David and Sara, a young couple from Downtown Chicago, approached the Corner team with an important request. They had been planning a kitchen remodel in their apartment for quite some time but couldn’t find a reliable contractor. David came across Corner through Google Maps, Sara looked at the company's available designs, and so they began their partnership.
David and Sara knew exactly what they wanted to change in their kitchen: to make the room bigger and more spacious and modernize it with new appliances and convenient functionality. Sara found one of Corner's kitchen designs, Rebel, on a website and suggested they remodel the kitchen like this.
