Railway Station Fritzens Wattens
The project's guiding concept was to develop the new railway station not merely as an infrastructure facility, but as an urban connecting element that enables barrier-free everyday mobility between the two communities for everyone.
A broadly sweeping, generously dimensioned bridge structure made of timber and steel for pedestrians and cyclists is the central element, both functionally and visually.

ON SHORT ROUTES
At the Fritzens-Wattens mobility hub, the different modes of transport are not simply arranged side by side; instead, the structural design emerges from the integration of multimodal connections along short routes. The distance between the bicycle parking facilities in the interio... More

Future Copenhagen Metro Stations
Invited by Metroselskabet, Denmark to investigate how a resource-efficient and more climate-friendly metro station can look and be experienced, JAJA’s proposal shows that you can’t achieve a resource-efficient and “climate-friendly” metro station with a superficial material adaptation. Instead, it requires a comprehensive and holistic approach to sustainable design and construction leading passengers from A to B in a material-optimized metro concept.

Presented via the three core elements: Materials, Mobility Hub, and Climate Campaign their concept not only focuses on reducing CO2 emissions but also seeks to create an eventful journey for the many daily passengers.

IJboulevard
A design team led by VenhoevenCS architecture+urbanism - with Van Hattum en Blankevoort and DS Landscape architects - has created IJboulevard, a new underwater bike parking facility in the heart of Amsterdam. The innovative project makes a significant contribution to the city, transforming the area to create a unique experience for cyclists whilst providing new public space and improving the city’s infrastructure. Sited in a complex urban location next to Amsterdam Central Station - where trains, trams, buses, taxis, pedestrians and cyclists converge - and the river IJ, the underwater facility has space for over 4,000 bicycles.

FOOTBRIDGE BRAMSCHE
The new foot and cycle path bridge in Bramsche serves not only as a vital transportation link between the new urban area and the train station and city center, but also plays a significant role in urban development. Its curved form blends elegantly and harmoniously into the urban landscape, making a high-quality design contribution to the city's appearance. Furthermore, the bridge creates new connections and enhances the quality of the surrounding areas, giving rise to a new city identifier.Designed with resource efficiency in mind, the bridge minimizes the amount of material used while achieving a span of 237 meters. The bridge promotes green mobility and provides a place for people to pause, contemplate, and interact with the urban landsc... More
