Coffee Mill

Polochic Coffee Mill Extension Deep in Guatemala’s Polochic Valley, this project transforms part of a working coffee mill into a two-bedroom dwelling, extending the existing structure with a lightweight timber volume suspended above the productive landscape. Anna y Margo Anna y Margo Anna y Margo Anna y Margo The intervention places the bedrooms and bathroom within the existing building, while the kitchen and living spaces occupy the new elevated extension. Mc100 concept marks Guatemala’s 100th McDonald’s restaurant and the brand’s ongoing evolution

Over the past 40 years,  the McDonald’s brand has become deeply ingrained into Guatemalan popular culture. The award of the country’s milestone 100th McDonald’s restaurant was subject to a design competition, with the winning entry ultimately realized by  Taller ACÁ Architects.
