In this project, we took care of the complete rehabilitation of this Lyon style apartment 1930. The property was in a was more than deplorable. So we had to start all over again. The client wanted to install reversible air conditioning: we therefore had to create false ceilings accordingly. All windows have also been changed.Regarding the layout: we moved the kitchen and installed it at the other end of the apartment. We have created an additional bathroom accessible from the master bedroom and an additional toilet in the children's bathroom.Regarding aesthetics: we were surprised to find parquet under the carpet. This project was born out of the client's wish to transform the day room of this beautiful Lyonnais apartment. This apartment, Art Deco, and very beautifully crafted, had been very well preserved and maintained by the former owners. Our mission was to create a pleasant, bright and distinctive living area, according to the tastes of the client. It was also necessary to integrate an office space and to dress the supporting post in order to integrate it as well as possible. Finally, the client wanted a real bar. In 2015, the Canadian government made to decision to put its historical Embassy and Cultural center headquarters located on rue Constantine and avenue Montaigne back on the market. Simultaneously, Ottawa acquired a Haussmannian buidling located at 130 rue du Faubourg Saint Honoré in the 8th arrondissement of Paris with the objective to bring its two French entities together in one single buidling. The Faubourg Saint Honoré is a very suggestive name that one will immediately associate with embassies (the US, UK and Japanese embassies are all within walking distance).
