The historic row of houses at Oberamteistraße 28–32, together with the surviving basement of the ‘Stone House’ that once occupied no. 34 before its demolition in 1972, forms one of Reutlingen’s oldest surviving groups of buildings. Dating back to the 13th century, when the city was founded, the row reflects the development of building and living culture over the centuries in southern Germany. The project focuses on the energy renovation of building 03 at the Georges Clémenceau high school campus in Montpellier, which includes building 03 Annex, part of the ground floor of building 05, and the construction of a hazardous materials storage room. The historic palace from 1860 was destroyed during World War II and rebuilt from 1952 to 1955 based on a design by architect Carl Appel. The new construction represents a classic architectural style from the 1950s. Our approach is to view projects holistically, placing people at the center. "Human-centered design" guides all our projects. The goal was to create an area-efficient, open office layout with high demands on room acoustics and quality. Therefore, the intention was to maximize the volume of space. Suspended ceilings were omitted in the open office structures. The bourgeois Palais, located on Parkring, was completed in 1865 and is a building with the second-highest level of monument protection. In 2021, the OPEC Fund for International Development acquired the historic palace, which has been under monument protection since 1994, and had it extensively renovated from 2021 to 2024. The building's unique features include the first-floor area with its historic rooms, the original entrance via Zedlitzgasse, the new showroom on the Ring, and the new conference area on the top floor.
