This building is a hut-like house on the outskirts of Aichi Prefecture.The area around the building is a peaceful place with fields and bamboo forests.The planned site has two main houses, and a study hut and an agricultural equipment shed attached to them.Several decades ago, there was a livestock hut.There, two or three generations live on a single site with multiple buildings.And they live in a way that keeps building renewed in line with their current life, as they thought of on the spot.A client working as an electrician requested a room such as a study room and dining kitchen, a storage space for materials, a refreshing space with colleagues at work, and a place where local people gather in the event of a disaster.This plan is like ad... Vertex House
The main volumetric concept of the project came from the client's desire: she would like the house to be like a hut, perched on top of a traditional residence. Based on this conception, Vertex House emerged. The upper part, opaquer and with a regular but organic vertical texture, contrasts with the lower part, with open social areas integrated into the house's gardens. As for materiality, light wood and stone predominate, in addition to furniture designed exclusively for the project. Summertime II
With this small children's tree house on the edge of the forest, the idea is to revisit the primitive house from a child's point of view. What kind of house would we have wished for as children?
DéDal - David Lo Buglio
Probably a "belvedere" house, elevated to observe the distant environment while trying to play with its singularities. The tree house rests on a smaller structure, creating a sense of fragility accentuated by the simplicity and lightness of the whole. Contrasting with the verticality of this signal in the landscape, a platform below the house juts out perpendicular to the natural slope of the ground, offering a space for play and rest that looks like a hammock suspended in the air.

Meditation Hut "Victor"
Meditation and water are wedded forever - Herman Melville
The owners of a forested property wanted a quiet space to observe the surrounding nature. A naturalized understory leads to a visually kinetic approach ramp that contrasts to the subtle interior. Entry to the hut is through an obscured door detailed like the cedar walls. Inside an oversized window opposite the entrance immediately pulls the view back outside to a composed view of mature trees. Adjacent to this is a miniature tea cabinet. A raised platform in the main space supports three tatami mats.

Bivacco Brédy
Bivacco Bredy is the winning proposal from an invited competition organized by YACademy and Cantieri d’Alta Quota on behalf of the Brédy family. Developed by BCW Collective, the design is a specific solution for a high altitude site in the Italian region of Valle d’Aosta, near the Laghi di Dzioule, two small alpine lakes at 2500m elevation in the secluded Vertosan Valley.
The competition sought detailed designs of a bivouac to celebrate the memory of Claudio Brédy, a well-known politician and alpinist from Valle d’Aosta who tragically lost his life in a climbing accident at the end of 2017.

A country house is anchored to the horizon line, where the bank of the Tresinaro torrent stands as background and scene of the environmental field. The house reinterprets an historical countryside typology space named porta morta in contemporary terms, defining a hollow space that becomes the fulcrum of architecture.Two side wings help to ground the house in the plot: they slide on each other by a transparent double height passing through which links and connects the spaces of the bedrooms / studio on the first floor through an hanging balcony.The porch as a solar diaphragm and jasmine canopy configures the open-air extension of the living room, while the first floor rooms extend the house towards the landscape.&nbs... Černá Voda mountain lodge
Černá Voda, a small mountain lodge, is situated next to the “old” ski run near the Pomezní Boudy border checkpoint in the Krkonoše mountains.The original lower ski-lift station was replaced with a new wooden structure on the confluence of Kolben and Černá Voda streams, the latter of which the chalet is named after. The owner’s wish was to have a small structure to serve as a lodge for short-term guests of the owner of the nearby Tereza mountain chalet.The mountain lodge is a wooden structure of approximately 5.3 x 5.6 m, with an adjacent steel structure terrace of approximately 5.3 x 2.5 m. Summer cabin 4:12 for sleep and contemplation
The vision is to create a complex experience trough a simple form. The black volume contains 4 spaces, 3 of them facing different directions and the fourth is placed in the center of the cabin. The openings (door, windows) are supposed to be experienced as a movie screen or a photography. The inside-out experience is a precise observation through the openings, either facing the stars or the deep forest. The expression of the exterior emanate from the possibility to open up a full size façade (door, window), one for each space. The reflections in the glass surface creates an interaction between inside and outside, between black abstract form and the surrounding forest.
