Ville Verdi
The ecological housing estate in low-energy construction is located in Vienna’s 11th district in a former industrial zone in close proximity to the revitalised, distinctive Gasometers — the industrial monuments of historicism. The town villas seek optimal positions in a dancing manner — with regard to exposure to sunlight and quality of view as well as the creation of tension, appeal and attractive force. The slightly “sloping” position, in which the villas ambivalently float between “seeing and being seen”, corresponds to the stepped house type, enhances the villas’ presence and facilitates the occupants’ identification process. The “Ville Verdi” housing estate consists of five individual structures with 34 residential units each.

Sofia Townhouse
Clear parameters were given by the developer for these row houses – interior spaces had to look big through the use of cathedral height ceilings, views should be provided via large fenestrations, faced of each row house should look the same while interior layouts should be flexible.
The design process started from a series of cubes laid on top of one another. These cubes were cut in plan, segregating the service spaces (stairs, kitchen, t&b) from the main spaces (living space, bedrooms). These cubes were then pulled, extruded, offset, and skewed to achieve a unique composition. Housing Razgledi Perovo
The houses on Perovo stand on an exposed location with an exceptional view of the Kamniško-Savinjske Alps in the background. However the view is not the only characteristic of this location, as the houses represent a dominant feature of the valley when viewed from below. Thus the architectural task at hand brings at least two important challenges. First, it is necessary to design and create a quality living environment for the future residents, and second, the project provides an opportunity to redefine the look of the settlement on Perovo which has a rather heterogeneous and in harmonious layout with its scattered individual houses.

102 Dwellings in Carabanchel
High accuracy casts have already been used by the EMVS, who had the chance to test their results and performance. This project introduces an important innovation in the constructive process by fabricating the casts in aluminium. This implies a considerable lightening of the pieces, which enables the workers to manipulate them safely and without any additional cranes.
The Project for 102 social dwellings in Carabanchel consists of 52 single-bedroom dwellings, 35 double-bedroom dwellings and 15 triple-bedroom dwellings.
