PRIEST HOME
Designed as a quiet sanctuary for reflection and communal living, Priest Home in Aluva reinterprets retirement housing through an architecture shaped by light, restraint, and contemplation.
Located in Aluva, Kerala, the 9,000-square-foot residence is envisioned as a retirement home for ten priests, providing a serene environment that supports both solitude and shared daily rituals. The project forms part of a larger residential campus where collective functions including the kitchen, dining hall, and chapel are already accommodated within an existing block. This allowed the new intervention to focus entirely on private living spaces while remaining integrated within a unified residential setting.

Context/Location Bangalore in Southern India is thriving with micro campuses from several universities. Among them is Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), an 80-acre campus in the city's outskirts. The campus is planned for over 12000 students from varied technology, art & sciences fields. A legacy of more than 60 years, MAHE is synonymous with excellence in education.
Nestled in the core of this campus, MARC (Auditorium & Food Court) emanates from its role as the central focal point of the bustling academic hub. The building caters to the diverse and growing campus needs and is designed to support multiple activities and thrive in its setting.
