Industrial Cosy

The original flat had a separate kitchen, small windows and correspondingly dark rooms. The installation of large windows and the removal of the dividing wall to the kitchen and the wall to the corridor created open, light-flooded areas that can still be zoned thanks to an elegant glass wall. Miia Photography Until now, the stairwell had only been lit by narrow window slits. These were enlarged and fitted with web glass to optimally capture daylight while maintaining privacy.  To create a bright, inviting atmosphere, we chose a soft colour scheme of grey and beige tones for the kitchen fronts and the colour scheme of the bathroom. These subtle shades reflect the available light perfectly, making the rooms appear larger and more... More

KP Burgers

The burger joint is situated in a mid-1950s residential building in the historic center of Belgrade, Serbia, featuring large windows that overlook a busy street and a park. The aesthetic concept of the space reflects two key aspects: the atmosphere of contemporary Belgrade street culture and the color palette derived from the client's brand book. Ilya Ivanov Ilya Ivanov Ilya Ivanov Ilya Ivanov Ilya Ivanov The materialization follows a principle of alternating raw materials with contrasting elements, set against a backdrop of bright graffiti in the pre-defined color scheme. Bare steel structures frame walls made of perforated ceramic blocks, a familiar sight in former industrial areas now revitalized by new subcultu... More

Bionic-Constructivist Architectural Symbiosis 2

The Lviv Hotel is a characteristic representative of Soviet constructivism in architecture and at the same time a bright phenomenon among other buildings of this era, despite the fact that at the time of its construction the main task of local architects was to adapt the standard project to the existing situation, and the creation of exclusive architectural elements, to put it mildly, was not welcomed (especially if they had a purely aesthetic function). The architects of the project Konsulov Anatoly Dmitrievich and Nivina Ludmila Denisovna nevertheless managed to circumvent these rigid restrictions within the limits of the possible. Konsulov, "responsible" for the aesthetics of the building, created a partly romantic, partly p... More

Forkstone

Located in Espai Serrahima, a hub for artistic and cultural companies, this former industrial building has been renovated to serve as a contemporary workspace. The building was originally a textile factory, with a concrete-and-steel addition constructed in the 1970s, giving the complex an eclectic character within Barcelona. Over the years, the space was repeatedly transformed, accommodating uses ranging from parking and warehousing to a culinary research center before its conversion into office space. Designed to work with the building’s existing architecture rather than replace it, the project builds on the spatial and material qualities already present. Berberè Porta Palazzo

The restaurant is located in via Bellezia 24, between Piazza della Repubblica and piazza Emanuele Filiberto, where the largest open market in Europe is held. The building that houses the restaurant is part of the third Baroque extension of the historic district of Porta Palazzo, which faithfully reproduced the Juvarrian design of the north-west part throughout the 18th century. Caption Caption The project is the result of the union of two previously separate buildings, developed over 3 floors. An effective structural intervention, through a process by subtraction, involved the elimination of all the stairs present, creating a single vertical connection, in order to define unique and airy environments, more suitable for the use of... Remodeling of the main building at Famo company headquarters in Lousada. The building, adjacent to the factory, was constructed in 1947 and exhibits particular characteristics of that era and its function. The complete renovation of the 3 floors allowed for the creation of spaces suited to the company's new needs. In addition to offices, a showroom and a cafeteria were created, along with other support spaces. The building's original design was preserved, highlighting its industrial character while adapting the spaces to the company's new image, resulting in modern, practical, functional, and flexible areas. BURR Studio reimagines a former industrial warehouse as a bright live–work home

The redesign of MRT, a former industrial warehouse, is part of an initiative called "Elements for Industrial Recovery”. Established by Madrid-based BURR Studio, the project works to protect Madrid’s industrial heritage with an architectural intervention that proposes alternative uses for obsolete industrial buildings. Maru Serrano BURR Studio describes industrial activity in the center of Madrid as a sector very much in decline over the past 30 years, fearing the situation will result in “a foreseeable disappearance.” A range of aggravating factors are exacerbating the problem (albeit some of these factors are necessary): an explosive rise in property values, noise and environmental protection measures, inc... BARRIO W

A brutalist concept with an urban style using raw and exposed materials, with touches of color inspired by the streets and corners of the Brooklyn neighborhood in NY, materializes in the amenity areas that we designed and constructed for Barrio W, a mixed-use complex in the city center of Monterrey, Mexico. Dove Dope Dove Dope The project consists of two levels, the seventh and eighth floors of the building, which contain the common areas of one of the residential towers in the complex, including a culinary laboratory, game room, gym, cinema, coworking space, playroom, entertainment area, and the terrace with a swimming pool.
