SGA converted a former Verizon warehouse into Linx, a 185,000 square foot LEED Gold certified campus for science and technology companies. The façade, coined “fun industrial,” features hanging screens, custom still frames in mesh, vertical fins, corrugated metal, and a color-changing material called Alucobond Spectra. Exterior courtyards and a dramatic multi-story atrium provide a rich setting for collaboration. The bold and innovative design offers highly flexible and efficient research space in concert with a unique array of on-site amenities including a bike room, manicured patios, courtyards, and Bocce courts. Living Proof is a hair care company with deep roots in science and patented technology. With a background in innovative design, the company looked to relocate their 27,500 SF headquarters to a new space where they could formulate and test all products on site, in a new lab and with open office.SGA’s interior design and branded environments teams collaborated with the brand to build a new headquarters that celebrates their history of science and patented technology originating from MIT. The space is comprised of open office, conference, huddle and support areas, as well as a chemistry lab, education center for training, and test salon. More

Sophisticated Empty Nesters enlisted us to transform their 1950s French country style house into a home that better matched their modern design sensibilities.  White shiplap vaulted ceilings draw the eyes towards gorgeous views of the harbor available from nearly every room. The music room, with its steep pyramid-shaped roof and arched dormers, is one of the family's favorite additions to the house. What makes it so special is the magical way that the room's curves and angles accentuate sunlight pouring in through the arched windows. The uniquely shaped space also has wonderful acoustics, ideal for enjoying melodies played on the grand piano. More

This project belongs to the entrance and exhibition hall of the administrative tower of a technopark complex in Muallimköy – Gebze named Bilisim Vadisi. The entrance hall, exhibition hall, commercial areas and VIP entrance are the main functions of this project which are in the entrance floor of 16 storey tower.The main conceptual design of the interior spaces were determined to base on the idea that should reflects the main function of the complex which creates technology. Accordingly the interior spaces were designed in accordance with organic and curvy forms which is more suitable for technological design language. The start-up company Ampelmann has grown into a mature, international provider of safe offshore access solutions. Wanting to reflect the innovative and energizing character of the company and to secure close collaboration between departments, Ampelmann was in search of a new office. They asked Fokkema & Partners Architecten to develop a workplace concept, to support finding a location and to design the new head office for the engineers, supporting teams and the board.
