Set exactly on the transition line between Culver City’s easternmost development, the Helms district, and its less developed Eastern corridor, the MODAA Loft building captures the energy and transition of the city along Washington Boulevard, acting as a visual gateway to the city’s burgeoning Art District to the East.MODAA’s ground floor houses the architect’s studio, a global modelling agency, and a 2,200-square-foot art gallery that explores the relationship between design art and architecture. In Busan, South Korea, Factory 1963 has been transformed into an art gallery. We created the facade with 2000 m2 of MD Expanded metal in the MD Academy design. We used a particularly durable class 2 coating that maintains the integrity of the color, which is essential because of the strong sunlight in South Korea.The MD Expanded metal is fastened to the existing building with the MD Verti system, while the screws are in the same color as the Expanded metal for a seamless finish. The BFAS architecture firm has designed a striking new shopping center in the heart of Enschede. For this project, the architect specially developed two different types of facade panels in collaboration with Metadecor.SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTSSituated in a traditional shopping area, the location posed specific requirements regarding both architecture and urban planning. What’s more, recent developments in the retail market created high demands for the building’s character and ceiling height. Adding to the challenge was the fact that the future renters were unknown at the beginning of the design phase; hence, the building needed to offer numerous possibilities for subdivision. This four bed family house sits in the heart of the Kent countryside surrounded by mature trees and gardens.   The house encompasses a mixture of framed and linear views across four carefully sculpted gardens that aim to each capture a piece of the surrounding landscape.   Inspired by the building and land topography of Dungeness, located on the south Kent coast, this house is a collection of five modules clustered around a central courtyard. The Black House’s rectangular massing was divided into blocks by key site axes, a view from the pool to a large populus tree, and a previous path to the site. The Omnisport arena in Apeldoorn was inaugurated in the year 2008. It is a multifunctional sports centre including Indoor cycling track. The round facade is glazed allround with our tongue and groove panel PC 2540-6 with four different colour versions including two differently intense orange tones which reflext the national colour of the Netherlands. The panel is a 40mm thick and 50mm wide tongue and groove panel. The complete facade surface is 2600m². The chosen colours are crystal, opal and the before mentioned orange tones. The panels for this project have a macimum length of 23m. More

“Bayonne Marinadour is the first intervention to be completed in a complex of actions marking the new entrance to the city of Bayonne. The other elements are a park produced by remodelling the approach road to Henri Grenet Bridge and, overlooking it, the built complex of Rivadour. These pieces establish synergies and interrelations, forming a unitary urban complex at the gateway to the historic city. Bayonne Marinadour is an exercise that involves adapting a significant degree of urban density and organizing a complex mixed brief. At the heart of Baie-Saint-Paul, Québec, on land that once housed the largest wooden farm in Canada, a modern getaway has taken root. Hotel La Ferme is the most contemporary of country hotels. Its namesake was an iconic wooden farm, which was ravaged by fire in 1997. From its ashes a warm, unique space was created. LEMAYMICHAUD crafted the look and feel of the hotel. Nebuta House is a museum and cultural centre dedicated to all aspects of the Nebuta festival in Aomori.In 2002, Stephanie Forsythe and Todd MacAllen won an international architecture competition for their design of a housing and community project in Aomori, Japan. The competition was judged by Tadao Ando and Jean Nouvel, and sponsored by the City of Aomori. Over the project’s course, the program evolved from housing and community facilities into a unique cultural building inspired by the craftsmanship and spirit of Aomori’s Nebuta Festival. We supplied the Cultural Center at Ieper (Ypres) with a sheet wall facade of MD Expanded metal. This facade forms a seamless, continuous skin around the building. As well as being a quality product, using a copper facade is also highly aesthetic. The main reasons for using copper as a material are the malleability and abrasion resistance. Under the stresses of air temperatures and rainfall, copper forms an impermeable oxide layer which initially develops into a deep brown and then stabilises into the characteristic patina color. This oxide layer protects the copper directly from the elements. More
